UK Tai Chi Pushing Hands (Tuishou) Exchange

This event is for everyone who practices Tai Chi and would like to spend more time practicing partner work. We will start with a 20 minute warm-up then will pair up with a partner for 5 minutes at a time. You will be free to practice Fixed/Moving Push Hands, sharing ideas in a friendly atmosphere.

About the event
This event is a Tai Chi Pushing Hands (Tuishou) exchange, with people from different styles and with different experiences meeting up to exchange, share skills and build friendships through practising together in a healthy, competitive, way. This will be both challenging and rewarding! We are looking for open-minded people to participate. The session costs £30 for three hours. Barry McGinlay will lead the group with a 10-20 minute warm-up. Then participants will pair up for with a partner for five minutes at a time. Participants may opt to remain with the same partner after five minutes. The purpose of the exchange is for participants to be able to practice Pushing Hands in a safe and friendly environment. The fully matted studio is located at the Shaolin Temple in North London. We will finish the exchange with a 10-20 minute cool-down and then Chinese tea and snacks, with an opportunity to…
